Flood the City: Help us Build the National March

It’s time to build a massive and unstoppable movement for Palestine!

Friends of Palestine WA is part of a nationwide effort calling for a huge national march for Palestine on Sunday 24 August.

Join hundreds of thousands across the country to demand:
– stop the starvation, stop the genocide!
– stop arming Israel
– sanction Israel now!

To make this march historic, we’ll need your help. You can build the Nationwide March for Palestine in the following ways.

1. Join and share the event on social media. Invite everyone you know.

2. Contact your trade union to endorse, promote, and organise a contingent to the rally
We have a template email that trade union members can use to contact their union. You can access the email template here. Download and edit the letter to suit your union. You may wish to include reference to statements your union has made on Gaza, or statistics relevant to your industry.

We would love to see trade union contingents with union flags as part of the march. Please encourage your union and workmates to come along.

3. Reach out to other organisations and community groups that you are a part of. 
Organisations and community groups can endorse the rally by completing this endorsement form.

Encourage your group to organise a contingent to the rally and promote the event to members and networks.

4. Help us promote the event!

We’ll be leafleting, putting up posters, hanging banners, and doing everything else we can to get the word out there about August 24! Everyone interested in promoting the rally is welcome, so please come along even if you’re new and haven’t been involved before.

Distribute material in your local area
Do you think your local coffee shop would display a poster? Maybe you could leave some flyers in a bookshop or pin them to your community noticeboard?
