National March for Palestine (Perth): Save Gaza, Sanctions Now!
Israel’s ongoing blockade of Gaza has created a devastating hunger crisis, putting over 320,000 children at risk of acute malnutrition and leaving 40,000 infants at risk of imminent death.
The deliberate starvation of 2.3 million people has pushed the Strip to the brink of collapse.
Despite mounting public pressure, the Australian government has failed to take meaningful action.
Our government continues to allow shipments of military supplies to Israel, including a shipment of F-35 parts just last month, and has not imposed sanctions despite the clear violations of international law and perpetration of war crimes.
Following the massive March for Humanity across the Sydney Harbour Bridge on August 3, Palestine solidarity groups across Australia have called for a nationwide march on August 24.
The rallies are demanding an end to the starvation and genocide, and are calling on the Australian government to impose sanctions on Israel and enforce a two-way arms embargo.
Join us in Perth on Sunday August 24, 12 noon at Forrest Place. We will hear from speakers and march at 1pm to Hyde Park.

To make this march historic, we’ll need your help. You can build the Nationwide March for Palestine in the following ways:
1. Join and share the event on social media
Invite everyone you know. Find the Facebook event here and the Instagram post here.
2. Contact your trade union
Ask your union to endorse, promote, and organize a contingent to the rally. We have a template email here that trade union members can use to contact their union. Download and edit the letter to suit your union. You may wish to include reference to statements your union has made on Gaza, or statistics relevant to your industry.
We would love to see trade union contingents with union flags as part of the march. Please encourage your union and workmates to come along.
3. Reach out to other organizations and community groups
Organizations and community groups can endorse the rally by completing our endorsement form. Encourage your group to organize a contingent to the rally and promote the event to members and networks.
